You will need to ensure that whatever type of container you choose for your herbs that it has good drainage. If you are a vegetarian that is growing herbs in pots, you may want to grow herbs like Garlic Chives, celery, and rocket. These are all good herbs for sprucing up a vegetarian salad or other vegetarian dishes.

If you want to add scent to your home by growing your herbs in pots then choose to grow Lavender, Lemon Thyme, Pineapple Sage, or rose scented Geranium. All of these herbs have pleasant scents that will improve the mood and feel of any home. We have said that it is a good idea to grow different herbs in the same pot; there are exceptions to this rule. There are several types of herbs that should be kept to their own pot or they will over power the other herbs. These herbs are oreganos, lemon balm, bee balm, and any mint herb. All of these herbs should be kept in their own pot – one of the key rules to remember when growing herbs in a container.
